Add a product
Who sets this up: owner or manager.
Products are resale items (shampoo, conditioner, nail polish) or in-house use items (dye, bleach) with stock tracking.
Step by step
- Menu Catalog → Products.
- Click New product.
- Fill in:
- Unit — the branch where the product is available
- Name
- Type — Resale (sold at the desk) or In-house use (consumed during appointments only)
- Unit of measure — unit, ml or grams
- Current stock and minimum stock — alerts you when stock is low
- Sale price — for resale products
- Cost — to calculate margin
- Optional: brand and supplier.
- Save.
Sell on a service order
Resale products appear when adding items to a service order. The receptionist selects the product and the quantity sold.
Low stock
When stock falls below the configured minimum, the product is highlighted in the list. Restock before you run out at the desk.
Expiry (batches)
When adding stock, you can set an optional expiry date. The system uses the soonest-expiring stock first. The list shows “Expires in N days” or “Expired”.
On the web panel: open the product → Batches tab, or use Inventory value under Catalog for total on-hand value (qty × cost).
In the app: expiry chips on the list; optional expiry on positive adjustments. The value report stays on the web panel.
Organize by category
With categories active, assign a category to the product — same as services. See Organize by category.
In-house use and product sheet
In-house use products go into the product sheet of services. When closing a service order, the system can automatically deduct stock.
Tip
Start by adding the products you sell most at the desk. In-house use items can be added later as you configure product sheets.
